Abstract terms and declarations

Authors submitting to Florence 2026 confirm the declarations below. Please read carefully before completing the submission form.

Consent to publication in the abstract book

By submitting, the corresponding author confirms that all authors consent to inclusion of the abstract in the official abstract book and in related event materials.

Conflict of interest declaration

Authors must disclose financial and non-financial interests that could be perceived to influence the work. Disclosures are reviewed by the scientific committee and may appear in the abstract book.

Funding declaration

Sources of funding, including industry funding and grant numbers where applicable, must be declared. Funding source does not by itself determine acceptance.

AI-use declaration

Authors must disclose use of generative AI in the preparation of the abstract and clarify which sections, if any, were drafted with AI assistance. AI tools must not be listed as authors.

Patient data and privacy

Abstracts must not contain identifiable patient information. Images, quotations or case descriptions must be sufficiently de-identified. Authors are responsible for compliance with applicable data protection law.

Ethics approval

Where relevant, abstracts must reference institutional ethics approval and, where applicable, registration of the underlying study.

Commercial involvement

Commercial sponsorship of the symposium does not influence the scientific programme, faculty selection, abstract review or decisions. Authors must declare any commercial relationships that relate to the submission.

Presenter registration rule

For an accepted abstract to be presented, the presenting author must complete delegate registration through MCR by the published deadline. ISMAI may withdraw an abstract from the programme if this is not met.

Decision discretion

The scientific committee of ISMAI reserves discretion over acceptance, allocation to oral or poster format, scheduling and session placement. Decisions are final.

No guarantee of acceptance

Submission of an abstract does not guarantee acceptance. The decision and any reviewer comments are communicated by ISMAI.

Certificates

Certificates of attendance and any future certificate types are issued by ISMAI subject to verification. Acceptance of an abstract does not by itself confer a certificate.
