Accessibility statement

ISMAI aims for the ISMAI 2026 microsite to be accessible to as many people as possible.

Effective date: 13 June 2026

Our aim

We work to provide a clear reading experience, sensible heading order, keyboard navigation, visible focus, accessible forms and adequate colour contrast. We review accessibility before public launch and on an ongoing basis.

Conformance status

We target WCAG 2.1 level AA. We do not yet claim full conformance: a complete independent audit has not been carried out. An automated accessibility smoke test using axe-core and a documented manual checklist (keyboard navigation, focus order, screen-reader labels, form error handling, colour contrast and reduced motion) are scheduled before public launch and are re-run after material changes to the registration and abstract submission forms. Known issues identified by those checks are tracked and remediated.

Known limitations

Some content is provisional and marked as to be confirmed. Final media assets, speaker images and partner logos are not yet in place. Third-party embedded content (for example payment provider pages) is not under our direct control and may have its own accessibility characteristics. If you find an accessibility issue, please tell us.

Venue accessibility

Physical accessibility details for Aula Magna CTO, AOU Careggi, Florence, are pending confirmation by the venue and the secretariat. Specific information on step-free access, accessible toilets, hearing-loop coverage, accessible seating in the auditorium and assistance on arrival will be published here once confirmed. Until then, delegates with specific access requirements are invited to contact the secretariat (see below) so arrangements can be made in advance.

Reporting an issue

Accessibility reports can be sent to secretariat@ismai.org. Please describe the page, the device or assistive technology used, and the issue. We aim to acknowledge reports within a reasonable timeframe.
