Registration for the International Symposium on Medical AI (ISMAI 2026) is open. Paid categories are processed online through Stripe Checkout. Code-based and complimentary routes are available to invited faculty, chairs, abstract presenters, Careggi staff, University of Florence students, accredited media and approved sponsor or exhibitor representatives.

Registration fees

Fees are shown in euros for each paid delegate category and pricing period. The currently active period is highlighted. Registration fees are shown in euro. Payment is processed securely through Stripe Checkout. Any applicable VAT/IVA treatment, formal invoice arrangements, and accounting documentation will be handled in accordance with applicable legal and fiscal requirements. Where finance documentation is required, delegates may contact the ISMAI Secretariat.

Registration will provide access to the ISMAI 2026 scientific symposium in Florence, subject to the relevant delegate category and confirmation through the official registration portal.

Registered delegates will receive confirmation of registration, event access information, badge arrangements and relevant pre-event instructions through the registration process.

Who should register

Registration is intended for clinicians, scientists, trainees, educators, allied health professionals, ethicists, legal scholars, technical contributors, patient representatives, institutional delegates, industry observers where permitted, and other participants attending ISMAI 2026.

At least one presenting author of each accepted abstract must register before the abstract can be included in the final programme.

Standard delegate

For clinicians, academics, researchers and professionals attending the symposium.

Trainee, student and early-career participant

For eligible trainees, students and early-career professionals, subject to verification where required.

Institutional access

For participants attending through agreed institutional arrangements.

Abstract presenter

For authors presenting an accepted oral or poster abstract.

Invited faculty and chairs

For invited speakers, session chairs, moderators and official contributors.

Media and press

For approved media representatives attending in a recognised press capacity.

Sponsor and exhibitor access

For approved sponsor, exhibitor and partner representatives, according to agreed arrangements.

For institutions or organisations seeking coordinated registration for multiple delegates.

What registration includes

Registration details will be confirmed in the official registration portal. Depending on delegate category, registration may include access to scientific sessions, conference materials, badge collection, attendance verification and relevant symposium communications.

Items such as catering, certificates, social events, workshops, institutional access and media access will be confirmed in the relevant registration information.

Payments and onsite arrangements

Registration is administered by ISMAI through this microsite. Payment for paid delegate categories is processed securely through Stripe Checkout. ISMAI does not collect or store card details, and registration is confirmed only after Stripe reports a verified payment.

Onsite badge collection and onsite delegate support at the venue are coordinated with the symposium's onsite registration partner. Any applicable VAT/IVA treatment, formal invoice arrangements, and accounting documentation will be handled in accordance with applicable legal and fiscal requirements. Special registration routes

Careggi staff

Access arrangements for Careggi staff will follow the institutional arrangements agreed with AOU Careggi.

University of Florence students

Access arrangements for University of Florence students will be communicated through the relevant institutional route.

Invited faculty and VIPs

Invited faculty, chairs and official guests will receive registration instructions through the symposium secretariat.

Media registration

Media representatives should use the media information route before attending in a press capacity.

Sponsor and exhibitor badges

Sponsor and exhibitor access will follow the agreed sponsorship or exhibitor arrangements.

Abstract presenters

Accepted abstract presenters must complete the relevant registration process before inclusion in the final programme.

Accessibility and registration support

Delegates requiring accessibility support should contact the registration support route as early as possible so that reasonable arrangements can be considered.

Registration support will assist with registration status, payment confirmation and badge arrangements once the registration portal is open.

Cancellation policy

Cancellations must be requested in writing to secretariat@ismai.org and must include the registration reference.

Cancellation requests received on or before 30 September 2026 may be refunded, less any non-recoverable payment processing charges or administrative costs. Requests received from 1 October 2026 onwards are normally non-refundable. No refunds are available for non-attendance.

Delegate substitutions may be considered if requested in writing before 15 November 2026, subject to ISMAI Secretariat approval and remaining within the appropriate delegate category. Any difference in registration fee must be paid before the substitution is confirmed.

ISMAI may amend the programme, speakers, timing, venue arrangements or delivery format where required for operational, safety, regulatory or other reasons outside its reasonable control. If the symposium cannot proceed as planned, ISMAI will communicate the available options to registered delegates. ISMAI is not responsible for travel, accommodation, visa, insurance or other personal costs incurred by delegates.

Approved refunds are not automated through the microsite. They are handled administratively through the payment provider or other appropriate accounting route, and timing may depend on payment-provider processing and accounting review.

After registration

After completing registration, delegates will receive confirmation and further information about arrival, badge collection, venue access and any relevant pre-event instructions.
